My name is Jesus Rodriguez but many of you might know me as J.R. I am the captain with the Three Rivers Police Department and have been employed with the department for 20 years. I have been married to my wife (Sally) for 22 years and we have 8 children together ranging in ages 8-21 years old. I have my Associate’s Degree in Business Management and a Master Peace Officer License from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. I enjoy hunting, barbecuing, working on the yard, but most of all I enjoy spending time with my family.

A message from the Chief
First off, I want to thank you very much for visiting the Three Rivers Police Department website.
In 2002 I took over the helm as Chief of Police and I have dedicated my life to building TRPD into the best possible department it can be. The Department is staffed with a group of employees whose professionalism and commitment to the citizens of Three Rivers is unmatched. The Department operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing the City of Three Rivers with prompt around the clock service.
It is imperative that the community participate and be involved with our department. Our objective is to build and strengthen bonds with the community. This in turn will ensure our success at providing the best public service. A community involved is a community better prepared and protected. Together we can tackle the issues that fall upon us.
